Remuera Golf Course
A purpose-built two-level driving range and function building, delivered through significant value engineering to bring the project within budget.
The Club came to us with a two-level driving range and meeting room building that its budget could not carry. We worked with the Club and its consultants through the value engineering process, re-planning the structure and envelope around precast concrete with open industrial finishes, structural steel and insulated panel, and reduced the cost of the project by around 25 percent so that it could proceed.
We then took it through building consent and delivered it in a six-month construction programme. The build features exposed textured precast concrete, structural steel and insulated panel construction with open industrial finishes.
As with many of our projects, this was carried out in a live environment — the golf course remained operational throughout construction. Minimising disruption to the Club's day-to-day operations and member experience was a key priority, requiring careful sequencing and site management.
The Velocity Range has operated continuously since handover and remains one of the Club's most used facilities.
